Have a silent film show
in your town or at your school!

with

Bruce Lawton
film historian, projectionist

Ben Model
silent film accompanist (piano, synth, organ)

Although silent film is only available to people outside NYC on video, silent movies -- on a big screen with live music -- don't have to be a Manhattan-only phenomenon.  Bring silent film to your town.  It's easy!

People who dream of having silent film shows at their local theater or school are faced with several questions:

  • where will we get the films, and will they be good quality?
  • where will we get projectors, and who will run them?
  • what will we do for music?
  • how do we program a successful series?
The answer to all these questions is -- contact us.

We are a complete, portable silent movie show operation, and can bring everything to you.  When you hire us for a show, we arrive with two projectors, high quality 16mm prints of the films and, if necessary, a movie screen or electric keyboard.  Bruce runs the projectors, Ben plays the music.

Based on our success with The Silent Clowns Film Series, we have been hired to bring silent film with live music to a number of venues around the tri-state area over the last few years:

  • Summer Institute for the Gifted, Bryn Mawr, Rider College and Amherst campuses
  • William R. Satz Middle School, Holmdel, NJ
  • The New York Historical Society on West 77th St, NYC
  • The South Street Seaport Museum, on Water St, NYC
  • Garrison, NY's Depot Theatre, now in our 4th year of a silents series there
  • Hudson Valley Film Festival, opening night presentation on film preservation
  • Church of St. Paul the Apostle, near Lincoln Center in NYC
Why not add your school or local theater to this roster? Or even your private function or party? E-mail us today, and let's get the ball rolling to bring the fun of an authentic silent film show to you!
